About GunFighter Pro Shop

In the Beginning:

It was the dream of Woody, Jes and Ol'Dawg that started a year earlier, and opened for business on July 1st, 2004. We started out in an old house that was turned into a business on the edge of one of Mandeville's growing business districts. What seemed like a large store that we would never be able to fill, GunFighter started with only 1200 square feet of space. The first year was like a blur...quickly taking off and growing!

During our first year, GunFighter experienced growth as more and more players found us, but then came Hurricane Katrina. GunFighter was one of the first business to re-open after the storm, and started almost immediately repairing paintball markers that had suffered suffered damage from the storm. We realized that no one would be able to afford the costs of getting their guns back up and running with everything that they had to go through trying to recover from the storm, so GunFighter repaired every gun that came to the store for free...more than 3000 from across Louisiana and Mississippi. By Christmas of 2005, we had just about every gun repaired and on the field again for our friends and customers. And that Christmas was the most intense we have ever seen! Many people decided to purchase new guns that year, and because of the lingering problems left by Katrina with getting products to the store, Woody & Jes spent many late nights at the UPS office sorting through boxes and boxes finding our shipments to make sure everyone got their presents when Santa arrived.

During 2007, we some small renovations to the store giving us a little more room because our selection of paintball guns, gear and accessories was growing. Then in 2008, 600 additional square feet was added to the rear of the store to accommodateall the new stuff we were getting in.

The Growing Years:

In June 2009, GunFighter needed more room for the growing selection of paintball gear and accessories, so we started looking for a new location. That's when we came across a spot in the NorthLake Shopping Center right across the highway from our then current location. We looked at all the options, searched several new locations, but none was better than the location at the NorthLake Shopping Center. In July of 2009, GunFighter started renovations at the new location and on August 1st 2009 we opened a new GunFighter Pro Shop! Our new store now has plenty of room for our ever growing selection, plenty of parking, convienent and more! The additional room also allowed GunFighter to expand into airsoft, becoming not only the largest Paintball Pro Shop in the region, but the best AirSoft Pro Shop as well.

Where we're going:

GunFighter is always improving services for our friends and customers. To date, your GunFighter Pro Shop has become an Eclipse Master Service Center, a Tippmann Warranty Center and we are now working on becoming an Empire/Invert/BT regional Master Service and Warranty Center. Our techs are Factory trained on just about every paintball made and we are also working on training for airsoft guns.

Our continued growth means more product selection and better service for all of our friends and customers. With our continued growth, GunFighter is now working on opening an "online" store to better serve our players in areas that are too far from our physical pro shop.
